Only got busted once... and it was a biggie.

    Knocked up the GF.

Got the silent treatment BIG TIME.

Dad just sat in his chair any time he wasn't at work in a permanent facepalm. Didn't look up or say anything to anyone for 2 weeks.

I didn't hang around for dinner... I'd grab something with a friend and head straight in to do homework.

Reckless driving ticket from "drifting" on a dirt road, got let out of what could have turned into a DUI by a very understanding police officer, hid the first tattoo for 6 months, mom came home and discovered me high with a gravity bong, wrapped the truck around a tree... i'm sure theres more I'm forgetting

Did I mention I'm still a teenager. Man I sound like a terrible person. My only consolation is grandma had 5 boys and no girls so she laughs at my parents dealing with me and my brother now.

I remember one time, I was like 14, I accidentally shot a moving vehicle with a BB gun. The local cops here investigated, BB guns are illegal within city limits. It happedned to be a brand new 4Runner actually, temp plates and all that. The driver wanted to kill me I could tell, he thought I did it on purpose. So my folks ended up paying for the damage and I ended up doing a 4 hour ride along with the local cops. That was supposed to be my punishment but I had a fuckin blast. But when I got hired as a cop I had to disclose that I was the subject of a police investiagtion, provide the case # and all that stuff. Oh, and I lost my BB gun. My dad broke it over a tree.

But I do remember once me and my best friend, rest is soul, had a tug of war with a stretch arm strong in the store isle.man we had that dude stretched out like a pencil:)we were leaning back, and then it snapped and we both went flying!Lmfao! Good shit.
Had to pay for it. I'm glad we didn't have to clean up that mystery goo.

Got held against a garage door by a guy at gun point until the cops showed up. We were just shooting smoke bombs from a sling shot. Ok...one might have gone through the guys sliding glass door into the house. Hey...it was his own fault for leaving the door open! My brother got away (hid in the bushes)...i got a ride home and dad got to meet the police man.

It'll blow over. Not to minimize it, you did lie to your parents and that was wrong. They're worried about your safety and health and upset that you felt like you needed to lie to them, and that's why you're in trouble.

But really? I'll bet your parents did the same stuff when they were in high school. They need to make the point to you that your behavior is unacceptable, but they probably aren't surprised, either.

    You were lucky.

My dad would have broken it over my ass, then picked up what was left and broken it over my head!

I always have bought my own vehicles right from getting my drivers permit so the vehicle was never taken away but i drove my old cavalier into a corn field in a hail storm for fun and the cops showed up. I got caught by the ex girlfriends guardian after we had a few and stayed out past curfew when i dropped her off (i got out of this one by slamming the cavalier in reverse and dropped clutch haha) and some other stupid shit that i will not say online haha. but I was young as stupid and you only live once so...... but yeah i never really lied to my mother and if i did (only happened to avoid being yelled at wile drunk) and it was good laughs the next day. Oh and got out of way to many speeding tickets..... but really who wants to ticket a teenager in a Cavalier haha

from the age of 15 to the age of 22 i got pulled over approx. 30 times
I've been pulled out of my car, handcuffed and searched for "attempting to elude"
i had a trunk load (read 10+ cases) of beer during a traffic stop and i was 17-18
I caught my neighborhood on fire
I caught a hay bale on fire on a camping trip more than once
Used to get dropped off drunk as a skunk and come in smelling like a brewery when i wasnt 21
Successfully ran on foot from a local police dept (for BS)

    meh

key is not lying...just own up to your shit

I never had my car taken away, and never got grounded

Yeah yeah live and learn

but to the OP honesty is the best policy. Mom overreacts to everything but Dads pretty reasonable and as he puts it "I'm not stupid. I've been there and done most of it myself." So tell them whats up and they'll respect that you didn't go behind there back.

I do understand that I did wrong and I have to face the consequences. And I just felt like I had no freedom and the only way I could hang out with her as late as we wanted and just do our thing without my parents texting/calling me every 10 minutes was to lie, boy was I wrong....
