See, you were doing it wrong. If you have an illegal substance in your vehicle, you DO NOT SPEED. Use your turn signals. Check your blind spot. If you miss your turn, you don't hit the brakes to make it, you just go around the block. Do nothing to look unusual.

Oh... wait. There are impressionable teenagers here. Kids, never carry any illegal substances in your vehicle. But do use your turn signals. ;)

Yup! It'll be worse for a while now. You broke their trust. But... I promise, it'll blow over. Your parents have rules for a reason: they love you.

My sister was the bad one I had it pretty easy but I always hated my midnight curfew with a passion and would come home on time wait a little while for everyone to go to sleep then go back out via my bathroom window, attached to my room no other windows only way to it is through my door. Came home one night to a note that said "Don't go anywhere tomorrow" my dad saw that I was gone when he got up in the morning for work around 2am it wasn't to bad.

Got caught for having a few of Dad's magazines under my bed, we had "the talk" and he bought me my own.
They found a bottle of gin and a case of beer under there also that was a bad month for me.
A friend of a friend needed a ride and turns out he had on his person's a half ounce of a certain green leafy substance and that almost got me throw in jail but the cop let me and my friend go and just arrested him after he had a talk with us.
I've lucked out so many times but I don't think I ever lied to my parents about where I was going or who was there just about what I was doing there.

Yeah, I know. My parents don't let me take the truck off road (even though I have and also been able to get by with it thanks to a water hose :p) so I just told my parents I was staying at my friends house, which I did, but first took my girlfriend up to the power lines so we could hang out. I came clean about hanging out with her till 11:30, but didn't say she spent the rest of the night with me at his house haha, and they think we went to cracker barrel instead of the power lines.

Parent's don't have a liquor cabinet and don't drink except for the rare beer for dad and the rare tequila sunrise or Washington apple for mom while on vacation. Alcoholism runs in the family so we don't have much alcohol in the household.
