ya know,. Mine were "stiff" at first as well. they broke in quickly and work well today. I do like how rigid and precise the Gerber is.

Leatherman Skeletool fits perfect in the coin holder. Put a small piece of toolbox drawer liner in there so it just kinda sits toward the front. Easy to get out when needed and the knife is pretty sharp straight out of the box.

    Being generous, I count 15...

That's counting the pliers, wire cutters, insulated and non-insulated crimper as 4 tools... even though my pair of Kliens is one tool and does 3 of those.

    LOL!

Gerber lists the "Bear Grylls" MT as having one more tool than the Suspension.
    WTF? Same fucking tool!

    OH!!!!!!!!!!!

The BG tool comes with a Bear Grylls survival guide for $20 more!!! :dancingbacon:
My life can now be complete.

Don't count... you need a separate tool to change these.

Don't get me wrong... they are valuable tools, but the idea of a multitool is that it is self-contained.
Stuck out in the desert with nothing but my multitool, I only count the tools that I have available to go "Gilligan and Professor" on a wrecked Chevy that I find.

My newest Gerber has a triangular pair of blades for the wire stripper/cutter, but best I can tell, all of the edges are identical, the "extra" blades are simply spares for when the original wears out.

The supertool is nice, but it does not seem to have anything the surge doesn't other than the replaceable cutter parts. And the Surge has the cool T-shank blade which can hold a bunch of different blade styles, from hacksaw, to wood, to diamond/rough files.

I've cut a LOT of wire with mine and the jaws dont even show signs of wear.

If you want/need something small.... I have a Leatherman Squirt. That thing has been on my key chain for years. I primarily keep it in my pocket while I'm at work (and I work with machinery). It gets used at least once a day. That damn little thing is awesome!!

(I have the one with the pliers - not the scissors)
