i got my dad a new scrub brush for the vehicles since he broke the last one, and a card. He appriciates what we do for him, and my mom so neither want expensive, flashy gifts. We all pooled in a couple years ago and got my dad a nice crossbow for Christmas, he was actually in shock as to what was in the envelope that Christmas morning.

they are old style penny candies that they used to sell at the old candy stores. Wegmans still carries them. the candy is ok, he loves them though

 

My dad is hard to shop for, if he wants something he will buy it, even if its like a week before his bday or whatnot..At the very minimum, a card with a nice giftcard is always welcomed, that way your dad can get what he wants.

 

I got from my kids new gray Double Cab Clazzio seat covers

 

same thing with my grandad. I bought him enough candy to save him from looking for it for 6 months at least.

me and my brother went in on a set of ratcheting wrenches for pop. will give them to him in a little while. those things aint cheap! . . but i know he'll love them.

Got laid twice, and got phone calls from my three kids. No complaints here.

My dad passed away six years ago so I couldn't honor him as he deserves. Think about him daily.

agree with your statement. i show my love for my loved ones year round. i expect no gifts of material nor do i usually give any. i expect the meal together, the fishing trip.ie quality time, phone call . although this year i gave my dad some mechanix impact leather gloves. he needed a new pair.
