    I know a lot of "poor" people and they work really hard every day. They work two fulltime jobs for shit pay and don't have anything left over at the end of every month. They are trapped in a rut. They lack either the skills or discipline to work themselves free of it. But they work a lot harder than almost all the well off people I know. These people I am talking about don't get handouts at all, they earn enough to not qualify and they are too proud. I think the percentage of assistance abusers is just a fraction of the total people in poverty

    Our church currently has an outreach to help underprivileged kids in the community...

    we are raising funds to buy backpacks...shoes...school supplies...and a fresh haircut,

    for kids returning to school this fall...

    we are up to 174 kids sponsored as of today.

    I think this is a good thing. We donated to this.

    Sandusky did a lot of "nice" things for the kids as well. Just make sure someone is keeping an eye on the kids safety. Don't ever assume because the church is doing it, that it is Kosher.
