Thanks. I don't really think I do, I just want something exactly like it or very close. I didn't know there was any programs that were that similar. I was told awhile back from someone that nothing was as good as Photoshop.

You could always try PS before you buy it. You can download a 30day trial of PS CS6 fo free from Adobe

Adobe has a new monthly subscription service. Cheaper in the short term... The full retail box is overpriced for sure.

I don't think they still have it, but I "crossgraded" from Corel Draw or some other program to Photoshop 3.0 (not CS3). If you space out the upgrades it's not super horrible, but it's still expensive.

Photoshop Elements is also starting to look a little more like Photoshop. Much cheaper and simpler program that does everything most people want.

The Gimp is decent, if you can figure it out. You could outclass a lot of Photoshop users with some effort. Gimp features tend to trail behind Photoshop features, so if you need content aware fill or GPU acceleration or something, you'll pay for it.

I think Photoshop is what everyone else tries to be..... It's that good.

We had a really really old version of Photoshop for many years. We upgraded to Creative Suite 3 (CS3) which includes a shitload of other programs. We really only needed Photoshop & Dreamweaver.
