As of 0500 today families can go back to the AF Academy. The clouds and little rain we had yesterday helped cool the fire down a lot.

My house is about 20 miles east of where all the others got burnt. When the fire exploded into town on Tuesday we got pretty nervous, especially when the massive smoke covered the whole north part of town and the call for evacuations went out.

To highlight just how quick and bad this was here's a link showing before and after photos of many of the 350+ homes in town that got destroyed:

Wow. Amazing... unbelievable destruction. Have local authorities determined positively that many of the fires were started on purpose? Last I heard on the news last night is they were convinced it was arson.

If so, they need to drop these jokers right in the flames.

Other fires were definitely arson - this one I haven't heard for sure yet. But yeah, agree on the punishment.

I wasn't too far away from the one in co springs this weekend, and now there is one going near grand junction where I live.

As much as I like the smell of a good campfire, this is getting to be a little much...
