this site says it has MORE toxin in its venom than a black widow!
    http://brownwidowspider.net/index.htm
WTF is with all those claims that the black widow was the most venemous USA spider??

PS Chris-time to buy up a bunch of caulk and seal every crevice man!!

They have a more potent venom, but its harder for them to bite a person. SO, the Black Widow is still a top bad ass.

Got them all over the San Fernando Valley in the LA area.

Working traffic signals, I'm still seeing black widows in the underground vaults and pull boxes, but I'm seeing more brown than black in the above ground cabinets.

Thing is, these bugs are not as shy as black widows. They'll nest right out in the open on cabinet handles and pedestrian pushbutton housings.
Black widows are NEVER found on the exterior of a cabinet in the daytime!

But I'm not seeing them out here in the inland empire. My garage typically has 2 or 3 black widows scampering away when I get into the corners, but I've yet to find any brown nests.

The way that area has urbanized like Los Angeles, you may as well refer to everything inside of the 101/202 loop as "Phoenix" :D
