Please share your PayPal experience with the rest of us. Your good and bad experiences and what to watch for and how to protect yourself from getting taken.

I have never had a bad experience. I always investigate the seller or potential buyer before I complete the transaction.

Haven't had an issue with paypal, but I have had an issue with a seller that I paid via paypal. I paid -- he didn't send the part -- opened an investigation -- seller has 30 days to respond -- he closed his paypal account in response, so I was out 20 bucks... oh well... this is why I don't trust forum sellers very much.

Paypal is easy to use and i have never had a problem i have been a member for a while the transactions are quick.

I have used it for some time without any issues.

However, you will receive an email from time to time asking you to click on the link and update your info. DONT DO IT. Never go to any site/URL you didnt type in yourself. I can send you any link and it can take you anywhere I want it to. You log in via that email and you just gave the badguys your password. Just my 2cents.

I have paypal for a long time, and I never have any problem with it.
Also you can get a security key for your account, you have one more layer of protection on your ebay & paypal account. it is a good extra protection.

I've never had an issue with Paypal...

It's the companies that I purchase stuff from that I've had issues with.

In fact, several months ago I ordered $50 worth of clothes online. Since I ordered, the site disappeared and apparently the company went belly-up.
Paypal made an attempt at contacting the company to get my money back and were unsuccessful. Atleast they tried....

It's in the BBB's hands now.

i've been using paypal since 2003...ive never had a bad transaction (knock on wood)...i dont use it as frequently as i used to...but its still the only way i'll pay for something online

i dont have any idea how many transactions ive run thru there...but its probably in the neighborhood of 100 or so...

i sell more than i buy via paypal...and its great for that...makes it easy for a legitimate buyer give me their money

You've never won the Australian Lottery.

People don't have brothers or friends in Africa.

I would just add that it is very hard to hide your identity on Paypal.
