If he had said he supported gay marriage there wouldn't have been one news article about it but the media only wants to portray him as someone who hates gays. He has as much freedom to say what he believes about gay marriage as someone else who says they support it.
Plus Chick-Fil-a's all over the place were packed all day so that was a pretty smart move if that's what he was going for.
He may have not meant it to be policital, but those are the people responding. Personally, I have no issue with what he said or how he said it. He wasn't disrespectful, he simply stated his beliefs which no one can fault him for. I'm just bitter because Menino banned Chick-Fil-A from Boston
