    The first good wave jus hit us. Nasty. I'm a block off Pensacola Bay, and the water was over the docks THIS MORNING.

    Pretty windy now. Got the house boarded up and all our prep was done yesterday. In hunker-down mode now.

    Our only real concern is the ground saturation. It's rained every day for a month and a half now. Trees are going to be extra easy to knock down.

    My wife's family is in Houma too! They all stayed put, but I sent my wife and kids to my brother's house in GA (I live in the NO area). I've been calling her family checking on them periodically. It's been raining solid for a couple hours now, and the wind is starting to pick up a bit. Hope you get through unscathed!
