I would tell him to think back about how you viewed your father when you where 5. The smartest man alive. Now treat him as such and heed his words as you did then. Great thread, brought back a series of years I wish I could forever burry. My regrets from that age are to many to number, thank god my dad stuck it out even when the family, minister, and schools said it would be understandable to bail.
