BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Age 4 sitting on Dad's lap he let go of the steering wheel and had me steer (towards the left ditch) a 1962 Pontiac Laurentian, 4 door, green and ugly. Similar to this except color.

was dads 1st and only new car he ever bought. it was 12-hundred bux. he wanted the wagon but couldn't swing the extra 400 bux. AND...the Impala was over 2 grand. big money in those daze.

the car was to be mine...and would have made an awesome hot rod (I would have done a V8 swap no doubt)...

but was stolen and wrecked just before I got my license. :(

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
1968 Ford Bronco with a 3 on the tree. Dad took me and my little brother out in the middle of a stubble field to learn. I'll never forget it because just as I was getting the hang of clutching, Alan Jackson's "Drive For Daddy Gene" came on over the old radio. I was 7 or 8 years old. Now I steered plenty of vehicles before, but never actually drove all by myself up until then so I consider it my first. I have a few fond memories of steering around my grandpa's old FJ40 a few times. I know that song will bring tears to my eyes one day.

Here she is, lots of memories in that old girl. Been a damn good 4 wheeling, plowing, and hunting rig.

'72 GMC 1/2 ton pick up when I was 4 or 5. My dad just retired it, and bought an 05 Tacoma to replace it. The 72 is getting painted and interior redone in about a month. Its going to be a garage queen. Nice truck though. 4" lift on 33x10.5R15 BFG MTs. Warn winch out front on a plate bumper. New 350 crate motor, and rebuilt turbo 350. I want the truck so bad... He keeps telling me hes going to give it to my sister...:(

1969 Ford Ranger (F100) lb with a 390 and automatic, no power steering, no power brakes. That thing was a beast to be a first drive.

I think all young people should drive an old vehicle like this so they can appreciate how good today's vehicle's drive.

Well I was learning to drive, I was 15 and had just got my learners. This truck wasn't the F250, I think the engine wasn't original in this one. :notsure:

It was my fathers but he wound up selling it. As far as I was concerned this was going to be my truck, didn't happen. :( Wound up driving his Nissan Sentra wagon for a while. Of course I didn't have money for gas so I guess that was for the best though.
