well it aint possible to control someone elses life, we are only responsible for our own actions. Family can only do so much, if the guy was a scumbag that was his own choice and no one elses

Death. It an inevitable part of life. That said, I think the carjacker made the wrong choice. Suicide is permanent solution to a temporary problem. I feel bad for the police who have to clean up the mess.

Had that truck been equipped with atrac this all could have been avoided.

I don't know. I'm not going to stick up for the guy, but at the same time I don't believe that just because you do something stupid you're automatically a complete write-off. One of my best friends did 5 years on felony charges, and he's an awesome person. He just did something incredibly stupid when he was young. By he also accepted the consequences and used his 5 years to get 2 associate's degrees so he had some options when he got out.

I don't know anything about the circumstances here except a 30-second video. There's more than one side to every story.

The local news here in phoenix just said it started when he scratched or hit a car in a parking lot, possibly with his gun. Then he followed the person across the street and car jacked them, then shot at the police out of the window of the car, then was going 110mph and shooting at the police helicopter. It looks like he was on some heavy drugs too

Yeah, like I said, I won't defend him. You have to make some pretty serious life choices to be in that situation. I feel bad for his family though, suicide isn't an easy thing to accept and they still lost a loved one and have to come to grips with the circumstances of his last day. Sure, they probably knew he wasn't exactly a winner or that he was getting in trouble, but who would ever expect the scenario you described from someone they loved? It's an action movie plot, not something your kid is involved in. That would be a hard pill to swallow.

    Wow

I feel bad for that guys family/friends etc because despite being a suck at life dirtbag...someone somewhere loved him and cared about him

I think suicide is a chickenshit way to go out but being that he had already allegedly shot at officers...I prefer the way it ended instead of an officer having to make the decision to end his life
