excessive oil leakage from engine

    5100's in the front @ 2.5", 1.25" allpro wheel spacers (Removed), painted front valance, BHLM, eyelids, Grillecraft grille, magnaflow catback ehxaust, k&n CAI, window tint, 2 10" kicker subs, painted badges, 5000k 55w HIDs (headlights & fogs), (2) 7" kragen HID lights behind grille, rear tsb (finally), AAL
    so my buddy has an '09 camry 3.7l v-6 and his entire engine oil reservor drained in a matter of minutes when he was driving. there is oil everywhere, inside the engine compartment (bottom side of the hood) the entire undercarage and all down the right. most of the oil is on the right side. ive been looking for the leak but cant find anything. have any ideas?

    There is a recall for the oil hose on the front of the engine closest to the firewall. If there is that much oil, that hose tore open. Tow it to a dealer and they will fix it. Not 100% certain it will be covered by the recall, but it should be.

    Sounds like he split the valley.....instant oil drainage!!
    I would check on the block between the heads and see what you find.

    even if the vehicle is out of warrnety they should still fix it for freeeeeeeee

    Only if it's covered by the recall, if not they won't cover it.

    so turns out you were right. it was the blown oil line. and when it blew it got oil all over the serpentine belt and ruined the belt along with other components. unfortunately the recall had already happened on the car so toyota said they wouldn't cover it. luckily we argued long enough that they eventually covered everything for free. even the tow down to the shop. so in all, it worked out. but long story short, thanks for the help! toyota probably would've lied and said there was no recall and made us pay for the entire thing.
