Dude, it's pretty much a dump these days, but the Tropicana is at the end of the strip within walking distance to everything. You can walk from the lobby all the way down to say, The Venitian, in about 40 minutes or so. I'm sure you can get a really good rate.

Check out Casino Royal. It's a tiny casio right on the strip between the Vaneition and the Paris. Have always stayed there. Good prices

Hmmm, I live there so I don't stay in the hotels...How much you looking to spend per night?
    Try www.vegas.com

Check out the Hilton and Stratosphere.

When you narrow it down or decide, post it and I'll let you know if you absolutely shouldn't stay there :D.

if you play $50 a hand in blackjack for a few hours, i know the mgm/properties will refund your hotel cost, after they rate your play. but i like staying at the exculabur cuz its super cheap and has good no limit action, and its right across the mgm. other than that, i stay at the mgm, cuz im kinda loyal there cuz they treated me REAL well the couple of times i was there.

imperial place was pretty cheap also, and has this celebritie look-a-like blackjack dealers thats really fun to gamble at. i actually popped a tent while gwen stifinani (no doubt chick sp?) was dealing to me. freaking hot! plus its right next door to the most coolest bar/pub/casino. its called o'shays or something like that. its an irish name, and beer is stupid cheap on tap there (its free if you play, you better tip!). great food specials, and just a good place to down some pints and have fun. but the mgm properties im loyal too, just cuz the excalabur and the mgm treated me really good a few times.

when you gonna be there? think of heading out there some time next week. im spending like $300 drink a week, and pulling a profit... over there i could get free drinks and still pull more profit and pay for a cheap room instead... i dunno... the past two days im pulling out ~1000 come backs to break even or leave with +50. its been some sick shit at both casinos....
