I voted for 600-700 miles because that is furthest I drove in 1 day.

Furthest I drove was 1400 miles in a 24 hour period from NJ to FL.

I routinely travel 420 miles when I go scuba diving.

To me driving in a truck is a FAR better experience than it was driving 1400 miles in a 2 door coupe when I moved to florida. My seat was far from perfect for long journeys... and you never know how bad your seat is until you have to drive your car a very long distance. By time I reached Virginia my waist was killing me. When I reached South Carolina my back was gone. Worst part was sleeping in motel 6 that night knowing that I was only half way there. By time I actually came to florida I had no strength left in my body to carry anything so when I was signing my lease I left my car at the parking lot and has not touched it for about a week. Thankfully moving company carried furniture and all that stuff as I had no capacity left in me.

My tacoma by contrast feels like a throne. Every time I go diving I wake up at 3am, jump in my truck, go diving 4 hours away, dive, eat and drive 4 hours back. Furthest I drove my taco in 1 day was from Key West to my house near Tampa and I got out of my truck like nothing happened. Only thing that took its toll was my air conditioning unit froze and was covered in 1" ice block so had to deal with that little issue.

I drive the tacoma from the middle of florida to the norther tip of virginia and vise versa. trip is just over 900 miles. i usually drive it about 4 times a year, usually pulling my offroad trailer. did it once with a 6000 lb boat. always a straight shot.

Without stopping? About 500 miles. In a day, about 800. On a one-way trip, about 1,300 miles (Danville, KY to Conifer, CO)

    Yes.
Without stopping to sleep, only fuel breaks... 2,000+ miles. I have done it several times. Arizona to Wisconsin, or the other way. It's 30 some hours. I have driven it in an 01 Sienna, 06 Sienna, 09 Corolla and 08 Tacoma. Usually with only a canine companion.

I have a regimen for ultra-long hauls, trail mixes, power bars bananas, fluids, Redline, Rockstars ans especially at night, knowing when your body needs a cat-nap, a 45-60 minute catnap can keep me driving for 2-4 more hours at night. A good nap right around dawn with a light breakfast and highly caffeinated coffee can get me through most of a day after driving all night. Th biggest danger, especially if you are the only one driving is falling asleep at the wheel, you HAVE to know the signs when your mind is in real need of a nap.

    Yes.
Yes, I have actually been back in Wisconsin for a while though. I pretend I'm still in AZ.

I also have a set route for my trip. Specific places that I always stop. Always eat at the same places, etc. I even limit the amount that I drink between fueling. That's why I don't travel well with others, especially other chicks. They always want to stop at the worst time, usually right after a planned stop. Ugh. I don't always make the trip without sleep, but also have goals that I must reach before I do. It usually depends how well my trip started out. Ha.

This summer in my new Tacoma I drove 1530 miles from north-east Arkansas to Portland Maine. Returning home we made the trip in two days: 531 miles the first day with a sick wife and many stops. (bad clams). 999 miles the second day.

RIDE not DRIVE. On my Yamaha FJR1300 sport touring bike. Twice I've done ~1200 mi in about 17 hrs. It was for the Iron Butt...Saddle Sore certificate. I had a blast both times. Next up will be Border to Border Insanity. Mexico to Canada in less than 24 hrs.:D

I'd never want to drive that far in a day...but riding that far in a day is fun.
