The building that has the most stories in DC is the Library of congress...

But on a different note, the Washington Monument is the tallest building.Nothing can be taller than that. due to national security

Technically, it is legal to walk down the street with a non-restricted gun, but you would probably get arrested. In order to transport a resitricted gun, you require an ATT (authorization to transport) which only allows you to go between your house and the range (or a gun shop and your home).

Transporting a non restricted gun (ie full length shotgun) only requires that is unloaded and the safety is on. If you were to walk around toronto like this chances are that someone would call the police and you would get arrested.. but as long as you had a valid P.A.L. they would be unable to charge you with anything (other then stupidity).

It doesn't need a trigger lock if you are transporting it ?

Hmm, please correct me if I am wrong, and I probably am lol. But when I took my PAL, I was pretty sure you had to have a trigger lock on ANY firearm while being transported. As a civilian anyways.... Have they changed anything? Or am I just recalling the wrong info...

And I'm assuming you have your PAL, so I have a question. Is the gov't still requiring us to register firearms? Or have they done away with that?

You do need a trigger lock on a restricted weapon(I.E hand gun) to transport it in Canada. Also need to be a member (in good standing) with a gun club(form you need to fill out, always a form LOL:mad:) to transport as well. Basically you can take the hand gun from your house to the club and back. That's it.

If a shotgun(non-restricted) is cased you don't need the trigger lock to transport.

In NS you can also transport with just the trigger lock and no case.

I always leave my locks on during the off season if I go to the range, one less thing to worry about if I'm stooped by a cop in a traffic stop. Everyone packing heat on there hip is mellow once they see the locks.........

If it is non restricted, and you are near it it does not need to be in a case or have a trigger lock. If it is restricted it needs to be trigger locked and and in a lockable case. We are no longer required to register non restricted firearms (unless you live in Quebec).
