So today there were 2 threads started about pricey fines. Also today I recieved the verdict for a peice of equipment that was stolen out of my office a year ago. 2800 bucks!! Live and learn, got lazy and didnt secure it. That being said what is the most expensive ticket, liability charge, or other incured expense for breaking the rules you have recieved (divorces do not count)

Went to PCB, Florida for spring break one year. Including me, only 2 of us out of 10 that were 21. Went to Walmart with 3 of the 'under agers' (all 20) to get groceries and beer after we got settled in. Got to the car and everyone helped out unloading. After we were done, 2 cops got out of an unmarked jimmy blazer (we thought was waiting for our spot to park). Gave me a contributing to minors and all 3 of them MIP's. Was total bullshit, but they get away with it cus they know it would cost more to come back and fight it. All said and done, $360. That was an expensive trip and haven't been back since... Fuck PCB

The max I've had was $120 ticket and that was because I didn't change lane's properly and my old CR-V was smashed into pieces, $9000 in damages/repairs. From that, I switched to my Taco and love it :)

I think it was $195.00 for open alcohol in a vehicle.. I was the passenger. Got stopped at a ride check, and I had an open beer between my legs, going home from Great Blue Heron Casino.

    This makes me say WTF!?!

The biggest one I've had was about $240. Driving 157kmh in a 110kmh zone, under a learner's permit with no supervisor. The tow cost was $600.

Other than that, the only other ticket I've had was $75 for failure to clear the snow from my licence plate.

The state of Alaska takes their commercial fishing regs pretty seriously. Long story short is we are allowed to fish in a certain district, the district boundries are lines of lattitude and longitude so we track our whereabouts in space with GPS. I was caught "fishing in closed waters" or outside the boundry lines and biatch slapped with a $3500 "how do you do" and had to forfeit my fish.

Of course I'm a bit sore about it but I knew what I was doing so I really can't be too upset with the 5-O about it....
