Hey guys, I was hoping you could help me out. I Bought this car back in 1999 and now it just sits in the closet. I'm thinking its time to pass it along to someone else. How much should I ask for it? New it was +-$100.
Edit: is it even worth selling?

I sold the same set on eBay about three years ago for $130, so yes I'd say it's worth selling if you're interested in giving it a new home. If you bought it new, the MSRP was $130, so you may break even or do a little better if that set has gotten more rare since I sold mine.

Thanks for the info. Maybe it was $130. I can't remember. I hate the headache of selling stuff, but it sounds like it would be worth it.

Brickset is a great resource for info on sets:

    http://brickset.com/sets?query=8448

There are no used sets in the US for sale on eBay that I could find, so that should drive the price up (especially for those not wanting to pay $1500 for a sealed one). Bricklink has used sets in the US starting at $155.

Oh I get it man....I got my 10 year old hooked on legos when she was 5 and my 3 year old wants to play EVERYDAY with them so when I get home from work it's serious LEGO time.

My girly bought me a bunch for Christmas and I got some today for my BDAY!!! I don't care, I'll admit it, I loved LEGOS as a kid and I still love em to this day. Endless play time with these things.

My 11 year old has over $1300 plus of LEGOS over the last 5 or so Christmas' and bdays. :D:D:D

We mostly get LEGO city. The cars trucks and buildings are my favorite....errr my kids favorites.

Personally I like the Creator building sets. I've purchased all of the ones I could get starting with the Town Hall. My first love is the Lego classic space sets from the late 70s and early 80s, I fortunately still have all of the ones I acquired when I was growing up.
My son is in love with anything that has to do with Star Wars
My daughter was into Lego friends for a little while but now she is kind of getting out of it. I haven't purchased her anything except for specific minifigs lately.

My 10 year old loves the Friends but also loves Lego City. I did buy her that big ass cruise ship thats really cool.

I love that town hall , detectives office, palace cinema, Parisian Restaurant, etc.

When I'm retired I will dedicate my garage to nothing but a huge city with those^^^ sets, then I'll die and my kids or grandkids can have it.

I'd give anything to have my LEGOS back from childhood. My little brother and I had a metric shit ton of them.

I told my kids now that every LEGO in the house NEVER leaves the house, will not be sold, etc as long as i'm alive:eek:
