For me, the wife, and a picky 3 year old, i voted 150-200 but starting to get down to 100-150 a week now. Sometimes we stock up on things like frozen chicken or ravioli, but most of the time it is normal fruits & veggies (canned or fresh), juice, milk, hot dogs, breakfast foods, yogurt, and then fresh raw meats throughout the week like chicken breast to go with our over-abundance of side dishes (rices and pastas). It really is crazy like a box of cereal for $5+ etc... Eating out or getting take out is super expensive, but can be tough with a busy schedule. Things like toilet paper and stuff only make it worse. Sometimes running late for work forces me to spend $2 at McDonalds for a couple biscuits, kills my calorie intake and my wallet in the long run :(

I'm only one guy but I can easily spend over $150 a week if I don't watch it. I'm a big fan of sams club. I just eat a lot of the same things every week.

we usually go about every week and a half and normally spend 130-160. Just depends on what meat we buy (chicken vs turkey vs steak) we also buy organics which are normally more expensive

we go every sunday. just the two of us and spend anywhere from $50-100/week. It's at the higher end depending on if we are stocking up on the large packs of chicken or beef. I'm a big fan of coupons (signed up for Kellogg's email coupons) and that helps out. We usually save at least $15/month just using coupons. Hell, if I'm walking the aisle and I see one on something we normally use but don't need yet, I grab it and use it later on (usually on sale as well :D). We limit our eat out budget to $100/month.

Of course, it goes over when the holidays come around or the summertime and grilling steaks

Yeah forgot to mention that. I can see organics costing more, but even the more wholesome unprocessed foods cost more than the refined junky shit. I don't get it, seems like it would be more cost effective to cut out the processing steps and just package the unrefined ingredients.

^This for me as well. I go to sam's club and buy bulk chicken breasts, salmon, and pastas/rice. Then I go to Aldi and buy a bunch of canned veggies, milk, cottage cheese etc. I spend like $100 every other week for just me. And also eat a lot of the same things

I spend about 75-100 per week for myself. I've been on a gluten free diet for a couple of years now and the GF foods are pricy - like 30 to 50 percent more than normal food. I also eat a lot of fresh fruits and veggies which can get expensive.

If you're wanting to stick to a budget try making up a list of the items that you buy most frequently then go to all of the grocery stores that you normally shop at and write down the prices that each store offers - make sure its not sale prices. You'd be surprised how much prices can vary. Figure out which store has the best deal overall for you and try to do most of your shopping there. For me, I try to get most of my groceries at walmart because they're about 20% less for an average shopping trip.

150-200 for Me, wife and 2 boys. I don't complain about the groceries, but I won't even talk about how much we spend eating out. It's bad....
