Got a call from my Mom tonight that both her and my Pops were hit by a vehicle leaving a restaraunt after they finished dinner and were walking to their car. She asked me not to be upset that they didn't call, but, that they were OK and that I shouldn't worry. (Are You F**king kidding me....not worried, not upset, is this for REAL?!!!@!)

Both had to be taken to the Emergency room as they were both were hit by a "female" who was exiting the parking lot.

Her white 4 door put both of them on the ground (asphalt parking lot) as she exited. The outside cameras at the restaraunt were not aimed at anything other than the "drive-thru". The Cops and EMS dealt with them upon arrival and they both appeared shaken, but not in a serious way.

They celebrated 52 years last month, and Mom is cancer free after 30-something treatments over the last 6 months.

WTF does it take to live a "normal" life in this Country?!!! I know we have all been devestated by these senseless acts of violence thru the past decade or so, and there is no explanation that is rational, but, G*dD**n, have we given up all human decency that our past generations have so elequently excercised?

Sorry for the Rant, but at this point, I am so very glad that both my wife and I decided not to bring "offspring" into this Effed-up world.

BTW, if you were at Geckos on SR 64 in Bradenton last night, I'd love to hear from you:burnrubber::fenforcer::infantry:

Heck of a way to bring in the Holidays don'tya think!!!!

    Eric

Probably didnt have insurance or some other issue. Atleast they could have stopped and made sure your folks were ok before they left.

That is terrible Eric - I hope that your parents are truly ok. Scary stuff for sure.

My dad and stepmom just retired and moved to Bradenton - it could have just as easily have been them.

Damn man. Hope they truly are ok. I am having a hard time finding new ways to tolerate today's dumbass population. The more I hear about this stuff, the more I want to seclude myself from society.

Glad to hear your parents are ok. I would be upset too, to say the least.

Some people have zero compassion or morals in for anything in life besides themselves.. It's a fact of society that I've learned to deal with. Glad to hear your folks are okay. I really hope they catch the pos that did this, and punish to the full extent of the law....

Dang, I can't believe someone can just drive away after running someone over. Glad to hear your parents are okay, but it does not really make the crime any easier to accept. You have all the right in the world to be upset.
