**Dirt Bikers** Would you do this if you were me?

So I'm trying to think if I want to do this. I don't really ride much, but I've always wanted a pit bike and I'm trying to decide if I want to sell my bike and build a pit bike or keep my bike. I have a 2007 ktm 250 xcw. I do ride every once in a while though. It's just, I'm afraid that if I sell my bike and get a pit bike, I would want a full size bike sometime and I wouldn't have one and not have the money for another one for years. Probably like 8 years minimum. But I want a pit bike so bad. I just wish I had an extra $2500.. Lol. I'm just not sure. Opinions?

Why do you want a pit bike? I would never trade my bike for a pit bike. Plus a pit bike wouldn't do a quarter of what that ktm can

 

I think they would be fun to fool around on. Plus building one would be fun.

 

So you're going to give up riding an awesome bike to fool around on a pit bike? Just doesn't make since to me

 

That's dumb to me man. I would think you would have more fun on the big bike. The little ones are for the extra money you have. Keep the KTM and get a pit bike when the extra money is there.

 

buy a pos xr100 for 300 bucks to fool around on. Don't sell the full size "real" bike IMO.

 

Well I'll probably keep it and find a way to get money for a pit bike. Build parts for what I want to do is about $1600. Not including a bike.

I can't see how a bling'd out kid bike could be more fun than beating on a POS xr100. That's just how I see it though.

You must be insane to swap a KTM for a most likely chinese made toy.
I would never dream of trading my black and orange beast.

I have had both. Honestly unless your 13 it's not as fun as a big bike. If you go to the sand you aren't going anywhere fast. It's to hard to get on top of the sand.
