    Hey all,

Some friends and I are doing a polar plunge this next week to help raise money for Special Olympics. To do this we will be jumping into a local lake, needless to say it will be cold and miserable, so should be a good time:D. Different teams attempt to raise more than the others, and everyone dresses up funny was as a team and can win prizes for that as well. We are a group of petroleum engineering students from Montana, so if anyone has suggestions for what we should dress up feel free to comment.

The site posted below kinda shows more about what will be going on.

Thanks everyone for the donations and support. It goes to a great cause and is much appreciated by everyone.
And I'll try to make sure that pictures and maybe video is posted of the event.

Great event man! I've done it in the past, and just last year I did the rappelling event. Great cause.
    Good luck!

    Too many to list now.
When you say polar plunge, what do you mean? Because we do those here in Alaska and it involves shoveling off the lake, cutting a hole through the 6 feet of ice, then jumping in. I'm curious what other regions do for this.

    But I can't swim!

Same here. I went to the one in Seward one year...it seemed like there were 4 rescue swimmers to each "plunger"

Im pretty sure for.this one we are just running and jumping.into.the lake then have to run so far to the other shore. Ive done others where we just ran and.jumped off a dock into.the lake.

    Note to self....
