So a friend of mine posts this on FB asking for help with what kind of car/cuv/whatever it is.. over the past couple days it's sucked me in and I can't figure it out. let me know if you can't view the pic.

This is potentially correct, It was spotted in Minnesota and has Canadian plates.

the license plate format of ABC-99-99 I don't think matches any Canadian province plate format. The make is not listed as a brand sold in Canada, so yes, it is likely enduring some winter testing by the spanish manufacturer would be a reasonable guess.
