Right on. I may be going out, not sure yet. New Year's Day I have a run to go on with my car club so that's why I might not be going out. If I go out I'll have a hard time trying to not have too much fun haha

 

Yea driving around would suck hungover. We went out and drank quite a bit last year so i dont have that big of a desire to do it again.

 

It's DAO and comes with around a 7 pound trigger. It's actually a really nice firearm. Used to be a lot nicer when they were made in Germany. I wouldn't worry about the lack of safety, your trigger finger is your safety in any situation. There's no safety on any of my handguns and I usually leave the safeties off on my personal rifles and that trigger is 3#. Never had any problems. Gun can't fire by itself, that would be against physics and the mechanics of the weapon, the trigger has to be pulled in order for the hammer to come back on the double action only models. If it's double-single action that's different, and the only way the gun would fire by itself is if the mechanism that locks the hammer in place was compromised which is highly unlikely.

I've had my truck right around a year now. I've put 58k miles on it in that time; I just noticed.

 

Unless it's a non-positive safety like on an M16 in which case you could drop the weapon and potentially send a round down range. Looks like the 226 does have a firing pin safety block so you'd be fine barring any malfunction of said internal safety.

sadly i don’t believe any of the MPG numbers they every list. They have been caught lying a few times. I think ALL manufactures lie some!! but from personally driving/ride in fords and know people who own them they ALL ways seam to be pretty far off.(like 8 to 10MPH off) buddies dad had a ’11 f150 double cab. damn gas gauge would move 2x as much as mine going to the same location and same speed/driving habits. (say my gauge said i used 1/4 a tank the f150 would read that it used 1/2 tank.) That not the only ford i have been around that got such bad MPG.

 

im at 92k right now and 3.5 years. my driving has slowed down substantially this year, at the rate i was going before i should be over 100k

 

Dang, I've only put 25k on mine in the past 2 years. And that's with driving all the way to New Mexico and back for work.

 

my dad gets 18mpgs on the highway with his f150 with a v8, its complete bullshit he is driving a 2006 truck and gets the same mgps as my 2011 v6
