V8 vs V6

Alright i have always been a huge fan of the v8 motor's I am a ford guy yes :/ I like the v6 motor's but i do a whole lot of towing so in the end what motor would be better suited for my task's at hand? What do you guy's like in the v6 vs v8?

 

For towing I would take the raw power of a v8 all day.

its never a "vs" imo.

Match the load and tow weight to the truck/engine. If its 6000lb id go v-8. 4000, its your call. Not really a matter of better to me, but what you might be comfortable with and margin of safety.

since you are a ford guy, then you ought get an egoboost engine. v6 , better than a v8 ...sorta, tons of power, 20 mpg or so when not towing. No idea how reliable they are though

If your constantly towing, get a diesel, if your a 3 days a week tower get the v8, if you tow 2 weekends a month get the v6

 

If the V8 was an option in this truck I'd have it. I am like you, I love V8s and nothing runs like a V8. Although I really wouldn't need it, got a 67 Ford F250 with a 390 big block in it for all the big heavy jobs. It's primary purpose is plowing though.

Yeah i feel the same nothing beats a v8 for towing is it still good for every day tho?
