Well put. I have no issues with anyone really, but don't try to force anything in me or mine's face. Teach kids young that people are different and how to deal. It's not hard.

Unfortunately these kids have parents that teach otherwise, so things don't change.

 

from someone who lives in TN. it’s fucking stupid IMHO to allow it. but SOOOO MANY here are SOOO narrow minded. they HATE i mean HATE so many things. hate the though of LBGT. hate the though of wine in grocery stores because they say(all though not tru) that it’s going to make the DUI rate sky rocket and be out of control. HATE the thought of having medical marjuana! If you don’t agree with them you are stupid and they will tell you to go to hell. I lost count how many times i'f been told to go to hell or i’m going to hell. a lot of people here hate alcohol and say we need to ban it outright. I won’t say what TYPE of people are the ones that say this. but OZ or anyone els would like to know more please PM me.

 

Also it says they can restrict certain topics and groups. I'm sure lgbt topics will be off limits.

 

AGREE! thats another problem some here in TN have. They like to force there beliefs on others and if you don’t agree are stupid/dumb/ or are going to hell.

 

Yup. I've been through private, religious school and the public system. So much fucking stupidity and disregard for difference of opinion on both sides. Kids should be taught how to express their views in a coherent, polite manner, not an absence of belief. Variety is the spice of life, even if you disagree with it.

 

Here's the thing , if the teachers aren't allowed to " discriminate " against a person's religiously based answers in their homework , does that make " God wanted it that way " a correct answer on science exams ?
