    You've obviously never dealt with feral cats. When i first moved in here there were over 20 in my back alley. Occasionally a woman would come and give them food and water. This attracted over a dozen skunks, possums, racoons, and rats. She assured me that she had all the cats fixed and wasn't bringing new ones. Over the next 6 months or so She showed up a little tipsy a few times and I slowly extracted information. What I found out was sickening.

    She was part of a "secret" group of over 30 women. They would go to cat rescue groups and use friends, family, and neighbors to help them adopt cats at the shelter to prevent them from being euthanized. They would then release them into neighborhoods.

    When I found all this out i started rounding up the cats and dropping them off at the shelter. What I found out pissed me off even more. Of the 15 cats I captured only 5 were fixed, even though she told me they all were supposed to be. After talking to the animal shelter I found out that these "secret" groups exist in pretty much every city across the nation and are responsible for the majority of the feral cats we have in this country.

    As for the vet killing one with an arrow, it doesn't bother me as it seems it died pretty painlessly and stress free. I followed the rules, and as such the cats suffered. Sometime in the night they would get trapped in a live trap, where they would stay until morning, Then they would be loaded into a truck and driven to a shelter to be euthanized. As for the cat being a pet, i would take that with a grain of salt. These cat ladies tend to be crazy. The same lady that was dropping cats off in my back alley was arrested a couple months ago for shooting coyotes with a bb gun to scare them away from her cats...
