This happened about 5 minutes down the road from me. Im sure you've all heard it by now, it made national news.

Thoughts/feelings? imo death penalty. Georgia has it. use it.

you can facebook the kids name and all his 'friends' are saying they 'have his back dawg yo', but come on, how do you have someones back after they shoot a child in the head point black range.

i vote death penalty as well... just sucks that technically by law, you can kill a 1 year old, or a 40 year old, and its the same. i think anyone who kills kids, touches kids, beats kids, or does anything wrong to kids should be killed by separation method. a helpless 1 year old? even prisoners think thats fucked up, these two will take it so hard in the anus in prison.

I'd rather they got life without the possibility of parole. People that fuck with kids are about as low on the totem pole as it gets in prison. And at some point, something will happen-what and when? Unknown. But they'll live in fear every hour of every day they're in prison.

For what they did, they should suffer in the worst possible way. The death penalty is way too easy an out.

To kill someone so innocent and pure is such a tragic thing to hear about. My prayers and thoughts go out to that mother and her family.

I'm pro-death penalty, but there is a special place in hell for people who hurt kids.

That special place begins with a life sentence in general population.
There's more than one kind of death penalty in this world.

evidently, she had her older son that was 17 killed in a stabbing. her son was oing to go basically kill someone and the person fought the knife away from her son and stabbed him instead. now she had another child killed in a horrible way

Because they won't last 2 years in general population once word gets out that someone killed or raped a kid. Even among criminals, there is an honor code.

Not sure how Georgia's death row is, but in California, it takes a minimum of 22 years to get an execution through after the automatic appeals.
And death row inmates are separated from general population.

If you wanna go the cost route, it's more expensive to house and care for a death penalty inmate and in most states, it would be years and many appeals before the sentence was carried out.

Now if you went the Chinese route and carried out the sentence immediately, I'd agree with you.

A bullet each for the pair after trial would be cheaper to the Georgia taxpayers.
