Do you text while driving your Taco?

I have before but...am beginning to realize how dangerous it is, maybe it is my age but I am beginning to think they should outlaw cell phones while driving altogether. I think Maryland outlaws handheld phones in vehicles. I just see so many people weaving and when you finally pass them up you can see them looking at their phone.

I set my phone down, and don't touch it. Plus blue tooth connect to my TomTom, for hands free calls.

 

If its at a red light, but generally no.

people who text while driving are morons and should lose their driving privledges.

If one comes in, I'll check to see who it's from.
If it's my boss, I'll open it.
If it can be responded to with a "K" then I'll do that on the move, but anything more than that, I'll pull off the road. If it's going to require more than a second to comprehend the incoming, I pull off the road.

Texting on the road is incredibly dangerous because of the amount/time of attention diverted from the road.

Actually SPEAKING on the phone? I used to have a 2000 minute plan and used every one of them. I've been involved in three accidents and in two cases I had left the phone at home or did not own one, last case was on my way home from work and not on the phone... got rear-ended when a guy in a Chevy lost his brakes.

i have a few times. but it’s only like one word text. like ok or no or something.

It is illegle to Text and drive in TN but soo many people do it. if you are 18+ you can talk if you are under 18 you can not talk. I have blue tooth now so it don’t matter reallyi just use that.


I have seen and hear people say cars should have a thing in them that immobilizes the phone and wont let it work. problem with that is if someone maybe stuck way off road in a ditch, and need to call 911. also it would immobilizes all the passengers phones which is stupid.
