I got to thinking about this cause of the cubic yard of dirt thread

Back in the late 90s thru mid 2000s me and another buddy used to frequent the strip clubs in the ATL area. Im almost 40 so this is some fun we had in the early to mid 20s. Howard Stern had some questions for the strippers who came into his studio and we asked a few of them to the ladies we ran across.

I shit you not when I say over the years we must have asked over 500 different girls the same 3 questions AND i shit you not that less than 10 got all three correct. This was to bartenders, waitresses, strippers, girls in the bar, hooters broards..... just girls out.

One of the questions was "How many feet in a yard?" ....you'd think very simple. Since most guys are football fans and learn about yards early on it seems easy. Well, the ladies have a tough time with it. A lot of them say 3.3 feet thinking yard stick or meters or something.

The best answers I ever got was "Depends on how big your yard is" and "Depends on how many people at the party"

Amazing. Its fun to amusing. You can even bet other guys a beer that if they pick out a girl to ask they will get one wrong. Works 99% of the time.

How many feet in a yard?
Is Rhode Island a state or a country?
    And
    How many states are there?

Im not kidding. Ask a female those three questions and Im sure she will get one of them wrong. Im not talking about the math major who wrote an essay on the state and their names. She is gonna get them all right. But your standard 23 year old girl in a bar? One of them wrong. 51 states, 52 states, 3.3 feet and surprisingly enough some have said Rhode Island is a country.

So to you youngins' I say.... ask a few random ladies over the weekend and report back.

If you want to know hwo to begin always start with this

"Can you help me out, my friend and i are having an arguement about who is right? How many feet are in a yard?" and no matter what she says, say "See i told you!" to your friend. Then work in the rhode island question and then the how many states question. If you want to get in her pants you will do it all in a way as to not make her feel dumb and wont laugh when she says 12 feet in a yard.

report back on the ratio but im willing to bet its going to be low. unless Atlanta is full of dumb females :)

Just asked my wife those three questions and she answered the first two correctly, and then on the third, she said: "Oh, I don't know... 51 or 52 states?" Almost exactly what you had written. So she's totally normal and I love her. :)

I would not want anything to do with anyone who didn't know the correct answer to all three of those!! I can't believe someone would get any of those wrong.

    Edit: no offense tooter

    my wife :
    3
    state
    50

    without hesitation.

but...since she's not 23 and doesn't hang in bars, she doesn't qualify for the OP thread. However...I'm quite sure she still would have answered all three correctly 30 years ago...while in a bar...and having consumed several adult beverages.

    So...

I do not think it's a gender thing...more a generational thing. Many young guys would also fail to correctly answer the same 3 questions.

Too many to list. See build page. Link in signature
My gf got them all correct. Well, actually she answered "36" for how many feet in a yard, but its because she thought I asked how many inches in a yard. So technically she was correct :)

OP: You need to find a better class of women. Dive bars are not known for attracting the cream of the crop.

BTW, my wife has her Masters degree.

Being a 23 year old who finds himself in a bar once or twice a week, I'm trying this. :spy:

With the onslaught of materialistic, detached, spoiled OC girls around here, I should be yielding some great answers :D

I started to ask the GF these, almost got through the first question and to my amazement she answered:

    3
    State
    50
Then she told me she'd already seen it on TW. Foiled again.
