So, there's going to be an open gun carry march/protest at the Capitol on July 4th. It will be a peaceful protest. "Should we meet physical resistance, we will peacefully turn back, having shown that free people are not welcome in Washington, & returning with the resolve that the politicians, bureaucrats, & enforcers of the federal government will not be welcome in the land of the free."


I think this is awesome. Anybody here plan on attending?

 

fuck no, man. Terrible idea. That is a good way to be removed of your CHL, CCW license and gun real quick and not get them back.

 

This is an OPEN-CARRY march. You don't need a permit for an open carry. Although, it is illegal already to carry a weapon on the capitol grounds.

Open carry into a gun free zone?

I'm about as Pro 2nd Amendment as one can get, but just doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Definitely will get tons of media attention though.

 

x2, I have a feeling this will be more harmful to 2nd ammendment supports than helpful.

It's my opinion that obtaining a permit to protest is pointless and futile, along with bumper stickers and Facebook shares.

 

Better idea than what? Sitting quietly while our liberties are taken away? Yes, way better.
