Oh man. Are you in for a treat. It's not that bad. I actually really like it out here except it's CA. How long have you been in? When do you move out here? There is plenty to do if you like the outdoors. You can go to Joshua Tree National Park for a lot of hiking and sight seeing. There is the Sunfair Dry Lake where a lot of locals go to party and off road. Palm Springs area is about an hour away for any real shopping. Otherwise you are stuck to base or the new Super Wal-Mart in Yucca Valley. I wouldn't live in 29 if you can help it. I would at least go to Joshua Tree if you like being more rural. I've been out here since 2009. I'm out now and have a business here that's why I stayed.

Any place can be bad or good. It's all in what you make of it. I have now idea what they call CAX EMV now. The super isn't quite done being built yet. It will be hot in July. It's been in the high 90's this week. I'm actually moving back to NC in a few months because the wife is out of the Navy (nurse). The humidity has been around 25-30% here. Some good food out in town too. Country Kitchen in Joshua Tree, Edchadas in 29, Kimi Grill in Yucca, Las Palmas in Yucca

I'm from Charlotte so I like it. It was our compromise for moving back east. She is a Jersey girl.

To hell with Del Taco. There are so many other good mexican places here. Like I said Las Palmas and Santanas. Don't eat the 29 Santanas though. You will have the shits for days.
