Yup... EF4 hit just north of us last week and was on the ground for over an hour and was almost a mile wide.

Crazy. I can't even imagine something like that coming at me. I'd definitely own one of those family safes like you have, living in that area. Weather is really crazy already this year.

F tornadoes. I'll watch them on tv. Were getting snow at 5400' elevation. Wheeling tomorrow should be interesting, trying to get to 8k'.

Watching Tornado Alley on The Weather channel. It's about the EF-5 that hit Moore Ok. Has personal cell footage and interviews with people involved. Heart breaking.

F that crap. Give me an ice storm and no power for a week any time over that. I don't care if it happens in August, I'd still deal with downed power lines over a bare slab where my house used to be. :(

with the ones we had on may 31st, it was real bad being down in the hidey-hole hearing the weather people screaming on the little fm radio and not being able to understand exact locations of the tornados...it was night time and I couldn't see shit in the sky and finally figured out it was right across the freeway from us.

I can't even imagine. It's one thing to go up against something you can see and predict what will happen next. But with that, you just have to hope and pray for the best.

I drove through the wreckage like a week after it hit. Nothing but bare slabs of concrete and mangled cars left. Really sad to see.

Yikes. Crazy that some people drove through that in cars, or at least attempted.
Yeah. I can't imagine having my house and everything in it completely wiped away like that. Truly heart breaking.

Right after that show, there was another one on about the tornado that killed Tim Samaras from "Storm Chasers" and rolled the Weather channel's tornado hunt vehicle in 2013. That was another bad/crazy one.
