that is true.. SC is one of the cheapest places to live.. gas is $3.11...average house payment is $600

 

Work for the Fire Dept and it pays well after 2 promotions. Wife makes good money and we don't owe anything but our house and 2 cars. Daughter takes up most of the money and I just buy what I want with the rest. If I work over time it is about $1000 a shift and then all the over time I get with the tactical rescue training adds up. Not sure the money is worth the mental stress after 20 years but it gives me something to do.

I am buy no means rich, the couple thousand in minor mods that I have are some what because of my money, and my parents money on birthdays/Christmas and so on. Getting ready to go to college so I am cleaning up my atv to sell it and putting all mods on hold.

 

House is paid off (got a foreclosed home for CHEAP!) and i'm single, no wife, no kids, just me and the dog.

 

QFT, they (the south/southeast) also have the best looking women.

Got sent to Afghanistan as a civilian. That paid for my truck plus some right there. Now I just save a few months at a time for some upgrades.

A brand new Tacoma was a treat for myself.

I think I've missed one day of work in the last 10 years.

No credit card debt, pay my bills early or on time.

Live somewhat modestly.

Enjoy buying upgrades from time to time. But the truck is certainly not the first on my list.

No more mods for me until the last kid is out of day care.... that shit is killing me! 1 down, 2 to go.... a long way to go! Then it's as many mods as I can before they hit high school and figure out how to drain me all over again.
