    I'll never forget:

I'll never forget the feeling of that day. The actual "taste" it left in my mouth. The feelings that we all felt. I won't forget....

Watching the plane fly into the second tower live will be seared in my memory for the rest of my life. Seeing my Brothers and Sisters do what we do and then watching in real time as they all perished. The hopelessness of the innocent people trapped above the fire and their decision to jump.

The bravery of the Men and Women of Flight 93 and the countless unsung heroes at the Pentagon.

After 9/11 all of our lives changed forever. The shame of it is... we as humans have a very short term memory. All the American flags were sold out and everyone was flying them on their house, car, motorcycle, etc... for a few months after 9/11. 12 years later... There will be many in this country that wont even remember today... We should still be flying those flags...

    I will Never Forget!

    Great post!

I find it ironic that when something tragic happens in the U.S everybody comes together and backs up their country as well as honors the flag how it should always be honored. But, as soon as the tragedy is over and everybody gets back to their daily lives it's all about how terrible the U.S is and all the quarrels that Americans have with each other.

Never will forget that day. The sheer terror in my families face. The feeling of anger, sorrow, hopelessness, confusion. Everything tied into one. It changed our Great country forever. Thank you too all of our service men and women both past and present as well as future for doing what you do day in and day out to keep us all safe.

I was only in 6th grade at the time, but the sinking feeling in my gut when the smoke from the pentagon reached my house is something that will be etched in my brain forever. we had a long time family friend on that plane. a loving father and husband.

Neither will I. I still fly my flag every day. Not just in memory of that day, but in honor, love, and respect for every man, woman, and child who has died for the love of their country. I still cry every time I see a casket draped with a flag, and every time I see a wife, mother, father, brother, son, or daughter grieve over the loss of a loved one.

They thought that when they attacked us that they would bring this country down. Instead, they made us stronger!

God bless every civil servant, and military personnel worldwide. I for one take my hat off to you, my brothers and sisters in arms.

    We must not forget!

As a musician, I believe that words are simply not enough to describe the pains all the victims and their survivors have endured since the tragic event. If anybody want to check out a video I put together in 12 year remembrance please do so... http://youtu.be/sq4RvKGrkzA

Extremely talented and moving! It still amazes me to this day what we, as humans, are capable of.

    Well done my friend!

Agreed, never forget the first responders & victims of 9/11, and our service men and women who went to do their part to drive home the message that we will not tolerate attacks on us.

I had the honor of carrying one of the 343 flags at FDNY's medal day/911 memorial in 2002. I was soaking wet and cold, but I wouldn't trade that experience for anything.

I still remember waking up to a frat brother telling us to come see what was going on. Him telling us some of what was happening and just not believing what he was saying. Shortly after watching what it all unfold my roommate got a call from his ROTC commander telling him not to wear his uniform until further notice, that lasted a few weeks. Some of us in the frat house that day drove up to help out in NYC.

Thank you to all the service men and women out there fighting for our country.

I was in my office in the Pentagon when the plane hit. Our suite was 3D450 - 3rd floor, 2d ring from the outside, and he plane went right under us. I saw much destruction and suffering - but also much bravery and selfless-sacrifice.

The Army Center for Military History conducted interviews of survivors and I totally forgot that I had talked with them. It wasn't until two years ago that someone mentioned they had seen the publication. There are some amazing stories.

You can read it on-line here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/65563423/...-ACCOUNTS-FROM-THE-PENTAGON-11-SEPTEMBER-2001
