People who buy GMCs want a more upscale truck and dont want a Chevy because they view it as a, "redneck truck".
People who buy Chevys just want a nice, simple truck and dont want a GMC because they view it as a, "yuppie truck".
Its really as simple as that and yes, its pretty stupid.

    Yup!

Yup! GM used to own controlling interest in Isuzu and, as was said, the Colorado/Canyon were designed by Isuzu.
GM sold off all of their ownership of Isuzu last year though and most of it was bought by Toyota.

It will likely be years before you see another Isuzu truck in North America because last year Isuzu announced they were pulling out of the North American market.

Whao! What makes you think that I would (if I was dead, again) Go all the way up there just to have a couple of crumbs, you proudly call brains, when there is PLENTY of nice warm people with real brains, as I live near a major University, close to me???

I think back in the day GMC was a higher quality vehicle than Chevrolet. Isuzu had a version of the 94-99(?) S10/Sonoma but it was fugly from the front. I actually looked at the Colorado when they first came out, but I couldn't make myself pony up almost 30k for the one I was looking at. I liked the front end look of the Chevrolet compared to the GMC, the GMC front ends remind me of Pontiacs, which all look the same.

to be dead honest, it's because GMC has "higher end" models than Chevy...example, take the Yukon and Tahoe, GMC has the Denali Yukon and Chevy has the Tahoe. lol There's not really a difference in the end but if I were getting one of them, the Yukon Denali's were always better looking. Don't really know how but they were!
