Ok well today I took my drivers license test with a teacher or examiner in the truck. The first part was perfect. Parked it like a champ, and went on to the next step. All was good until she expected me to do a 3 point u turn on a road about as wide as 10 feet. Once she marked me off for having my front right tire skim the grass, I knew I was screwed. The next step was to cross this intersection to take a left, well, five o clock traffic is not something you can just simply avoid, so when the lady told me to "go" for it. I looked at her and said "im not going to go just cause you told me to and then crème out my truck?" right then, I knew I failed. So as I went for the next opportunity (or the next time she yelled go) I found out that the idiot who did the landscaping in the median cover the road for small cars coming by. so as I stopped in between the median caddy cornered, she yelled at me saying it was illegal and that I should have went. (even thought the Prius behind me would have drove under my back axle). Well just wondering what you guys think. If someone tells you to go, do you??? of coarse not! Wait till you feel comfortable is what I was always taught. I guess today I realized that there are just plain idiots in this world.

I voted for the 80 year old blind teacher, good luck next time maybe you should take your test in a prius.

People fail all the time for dumb stuff. I took my drivers test ~a year ago. I passed first time no problem. My friends were a different story, One failed for going 17 in a 15. Another failed for the exact same reason you did. At the end of the day its the instuctors digression, if they are in a bad mood it will be harder to pass.

    enough to go over stuff
When I took my test 9 years ago I missed 10 points for stopping at a yield when there was no where for me to go because there were cars. I still passed but I was upset that I got marked down for that. Id rather the drivers test be hard then to have bad drivers on the road. Take it agian. It will be easier if you can take it in the middle of the day during the week. Less cars.

Sounds like you were nervous/indecisive. Sitting in the road waiting to turn left is not somewhere you want to sit and wait it out just to have somebody ram into the back of you.

Sounds like you were nervous. And if the examiner is telling you what to do then you either really suck at driving or they are doing something they shouldn't. They should only be telling you where to go

Lol I remember my instructor looked like a "Pat" (snl referance). She (I think) kept talking about Walmart, and I didn't know if it was a test to distract me from driving. I kept talking to a minimum. She was nice, I passed with a 90/100.

My high school had drivers ed so I didn't have to do a driving test on the road it was all in a parking lot. Just had to go to the DMV and get my picture taken

When I took my drivers test I passed the driving test with 95% but the computerized test got me by missing the passing mark by 3% two times. Then I got to do it on paper and aced it :D

Honestly I find it ridiculous that you only need an 80% on the driver's test. So you're just allowed to "not know" 20% of the laws?
