    While I partially agree I do think we will see it.. I think the price of a car with this engine will be enormous. And it will drop significantly in value as you use the energy. Then when you refill the price will go back up due to the cost of the energy.

    The US gov. makes 66 million dollars a day off of taxes from gasoline sales. While there may be a handfull of those new energy cars they will not be mainstream as its not beneficial to the "powers that be".

    in 2011 the US average of gas consumption daily was 367 million gallons. take that 66 million and multiply by 365 days and you get 24,090,000,000 dollars. Thats 24 billion dollars that the US government got in taxes. that means they did no physical work...free money for them basicaly. So no, I dont see oil going away untill it runs out or the govt. is no more.

    I like the hydrogen powered idea. But in the meantime CNG would work too

    But the profit margin is too small or we would be filling out Toyota's with CNG
