Finally a win (kinda) for those of us who believe in the law of the Constitution

It's not over yet. They'll appeal it ( I know, hence the "kinda").
You know, I hear people talk about how the founding fathers never could have invisioned today's world when they wrote our laws. I don't understand that at all. I'm amazed at how spot on they were.

    I'm with you Connal.

Not that I would agree in this case but, methods exist to change laws including the Constitution. The bastards know this shit would never fly and they'd be drawing unemployment if they tried this shit above the table though...

I believe this James Madison quote and I believe it's what's happening.

"I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." ~ James Madison

This hurts me to say but, really you're correct. :D Edward shinned a bright light on this particular problem. Now the question is, will he be offered amnesty for returning with the rest of the info?

Snowden had a great job he lucked into and a great life. I feel he sacrificed a lot to blow the whistle.

^^ If it wasn't for the liberal media (the media) I don't think it would be split so evenly if it is .

    Interesting read OZ.

Ya know I'm not really all that annoyed by the U.S. or any of the "5 eyes" spying on foreign or legitimate domestics threats. Hell, I'm not even that concerned with a foreign country spying on the U.S. or certain of its citizens. I expect it, what I don't expect is our own spying on ALL of it's own people without due process (of course how could need be proved).

I would think at least some people in Canada might be a little concerned that it's "deplomats" are in bed with the NSA. It really does call their legitimate operations into question.

Some stuff floating around about amnesty.
    http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/dec/15/nsa-edward-snowden-amnesty-documents

I would guess with this thought being floated there's more info out there then we've been lead to believe.

Yea that's true. But then we do have some pretty diverse views as a population of one nation.

I'm pretty much into a fundamental interpretation of the Constitution and because of that, I don't have a hard on for Snowden. I can't say I'm really a fan of how he did it but, I really don't know that he would have been able to do it any other way. So to defend the 4th A (unless it's somehow or otherwise revised, which I wouldn't support) something needed to be done IMO.

Look can we just forget this whole thing no matter ewhwt we do it doesn't matter anymore. People in this country are too damned stupid to care. They just want to live in a fake reality that everything is OK and that Obama will give them everything. This whole spying program is nothing new it has been going on since the cold war in one form or another. So until everyone actually cares about their personal liberty I wont stand up.
