To my understanding its not "immune to punishment because he's to rich" but more I was raised with parents that defend every action of mine, therefore I can't be punished for anything. It can happen with rich and poor families. More likely with rich families however.

Not only is the justice system a joke but the juvenile justice system is its retarded lead paint eating door knob humping relative . He is only 16, if he was on welfare living in the projects there would not have been a serious punishment.

 

I don't understand how somebody can be held not criminally responsible for something and yet liable to pay for the exact same act in civil litigation

But he was found guilty, just his penalty is 10 years probation and confinement to a $450,000 a year country club , excuse me treatment facility, until he is 21. The judge says it will be hard on him because he won't be able to do what he wants when he wants.

Really sad and disturbing. This kid will not have learned his lesson, he killed 4 people - good people who were trying to help someone.

7 stupid drunk teens in a F-350, probably built to spoiled rich kid standards (4' lift with 44" tires and all the diesel goodies). Fuck that kid, his family, the psychologist(s), and the judge. Probably all on the take.

Hopefully street justice (karma) will prevail.
