On a recent trip to NE Ohio, I noticed that an overwhelming majority of the drivers there did not use their turn signals, ever. So, that got me to thinking; when do you use your turn signals?

Mostly when turning. And changing lanes. And I don't think he's joking.

Whenever I feel like it. Sometimes IDGAF and won't signal. If someone is obviously waiting for me to turn before they pull out in front of me, I will signal for them as a courtesy. It all depends.

I put way to much effort into this...

Every single time you turn. It should be so habitual, that you never even think about it, it just happens.

If not, you're a dick, plain and simple.

More like demographics I bet. It seems like more midwesterners don't signal than other parts of the country I've been to.

There's a road by my place that is a left turn only, the road doesn't go any other way. I've gotten so used to using my signal that I occasionally see the turn and put on my signal without evening thinking

Not so sure. Ever driven I'm a major east coast city. Lol!

I believe it may be generational
Seems younger folks are less disciplined and respectful toward others.

So if you don't signal I guess that is some kinda display of dominance or something I don't get it...maybe compensating? I use em cause I want to keep traffic moving and me moving through it just makes sense to me.

if you dont use your turn signals i automatically assume you to be the scum of the earth. especially when im trying to turn out of somewhere and wait as you turn into the place im exiting.

Where's the when do you wear your seatbelt thread?

I do have a good no turn signal story about when I almost got ran over, but I don't feel like typing it.
