    Spoke to a Toyota rep yesterday and was told that the new truck is being tested in CA with its new fuel cell technology. His exact word were 'absolutely NO diesel' even though they have an RD department devoted to working on it in the US. Also the Hilux is on the chopping block also.

    thats not true. my dealer told me their putting in 6.5 turbo diesel. 600 hp 1250 ft lbs torque, and it will be bigger than the tundra. no heated mirrors though to expensive.

    It actually is standard, but the guy at Toyota said that the cooling effect will be more efficient in arctic areas, or when traveling at speeds greater than 40 MPH

    I asked him that too! He said they don't know yet because every time they go to tow something it gets melted.
