Daylight Savings Time ?!?

I like it, once a week goes by, dont like going back. I like having downtime in the evenings with an hour more sunlight!

last time I checked cows don't look at the clock on the wall, farmers and cows don't run their schedule by what the clock on the wall says...funny nonetheless. Yes, its designed to save energy, but the logic used is false, and I think does not provide any advantage any more.

 

So who's complaining this year?

 

True. We have farms around (one on the otherside of town) that milk cows 24/7. So the cows just wander in when they need to be "drained"

 

not me, getting paid to work one less hour thanks to night shift

 

Do you lose that hour when DST ends? Paid 8, work 9?

 

nah I was actually on days in the fall so got that extra hour of sleep.. no clue what shift ill be working this coming fall though

edit: although in reality I work 13 hour shifts so 1 hour isnt really anything

Doesn't bother me. I used to regularly cross oceans on ships. That'll be a time change every other day or so for weeks. Going east is worse than going west. And then every once in a while you'll go someplace really screwy with a 30 minute difference. Twice a year is no big deal and can actually be a bonus for me if I'm on a boat and it cancels out a time change.

When you grow up you won't get a "spring break"

 

they were making fun on the radio saying dst should happen at 3pm Friday afternoon in the spring. Why lose an hour of weekend when we could lose an hour of Friday afternoon work?
