Haha thats why I didn't list the tundra. I knew most would pick it. Now for the other three I wanted to see how it would play out. My family has always been Ford people and never really had any problems. I much rather drive my tacoma than the F150.

Not sure why you would bash a brand because of a shitty dealer, if that were the case no one would drive a Taco.

    5.0 f150 IMO.
Dad had one, got 20 mpg, 6 speed auto and a nice quick truck. Towed great too...now he has raptor tho :p that 6.2 is no joke either.
All out work trucks have been nothing but fords and never had a single problem hitting 200k on most before buying a new one

WTF!!! I had two different 5.3 trucks. the first I bought new and beat like a rented mule for 140k. never burned a drop of oil and all I did was change the oil, one set of plugs and one coil pack. I wore out the rest of the truck and the motor was still strong. the second I drove for about 40k trouble free before I traded it for the taco. oh and I vote for the tundra that's not on the poll.

They were a good motor then the Active Fuel Management happen. I have a 2007 GMC Yukon the wife and I bought brand new, the motor runs great. At about 40k I noticed it was burning oil so the dealer did a consumption test and came back stating burning 2 quarts of oil during a 5k oil Chang interval is acceptable by GM standards. Then as of last week with now 82k on the truck the lifters went wiping out the whole top end. 8 day later and a $5600 dolloer estimate it still at the dealer. GM did pick up half the bill because they stated they are having some issues with them but it is hit or miss.

Stay with what you are familiar with......They don't call is brand loyalty for nothing.

Test drive them all.....Look at the things that are most important to you (options? towing? warranty?, cost?, reliability?, resale?, appearance?, etc).

A Dodge Ram wouldn't have been my first choice. At the time, a good friend of ours worked at a Dodge Dealership and we got a smokin' deal on it. It was a great towing vehicle and I don't regret buying it. It just wasn't my style (in size) and we didn't need a monster towing vehicle anymore.

what's wrong with the my 331incher in my cobra kit car? old school still rules. then I didn't have the bucks for a 5.0 to put in it.

new truck wise, all 3 have good strong gas motors, dodge the hemi ,ford the 5.0 since the ecoboost is junk having have had one, chevy the LS motors are still good and build big hp.

sad fact is we can get a bad one in any brand, I've had 2 tacos go the lemon route and win the case,
one thing for sure is how many American brands have had a frame recall on them?
