Mr Brown is absolutely right to advise giving the Coast Guard consideration too, especially with LE in mind. I didn't check them out when I was looking to enlist, did check out the other 4. Later in my AF career when I worked at the AF Rescue Coordination Center, I gave serious consideration to transferring over but with a wife and kids, I didn't feel I could afford the temporary rank reduction it would have required at that time.

Bottom line -- check out all your options and don't forget the Coast Guard.
