with a child molester step-father, and a mother crazy enough to light someone on fire over an accusation, you really think her life was going to be that great with them in her life as opposed to out?

Who said she's crazy? Major difference between being crazy and being irrational.

But if you ask a question like that I suppose you don't know the demon hell hole that is foster care systems in the United States. I'd rather her live with her "crazy mom" and have a shot at being normal as an adult then end up in foster care or children's homes and lose all hope of normalcy.

She did that to her first husband as well. Looks like a pattern developing.

I think that's Loony's point. It may not be fact. It said that she heard from someone that he had done that. Not first hand info from her.

Would have been great if someone poured gasoline and lit on fire all of the Duke lacross players.

Would have been great if someone killed all of the teachers at McMartin preschool.

There was enough information for him to get 1st degree charges.

Why do you ask ? Are you a child molester ? I heard rumors you were....maybe someone should pour gasoline on you and burn you to death.

Or maybe despite allegations I should give you the benefit of the doubt and wait until all evidence has been presented so you aren't killed in the meantime.

I do have children. 3 of them.

I know kids tell false stories sometimes.

    I know adults do too.

It says he faces those charges, hasn't been charged yet.

It also says she's facing charges of arson. That ones gonna be a felony. You think she hasn't been charged yet? If you're facing charges then you've been charged, just not convicted yet.

Okay well I don't know all that terminology.

Point Loony was making was the lady set the guy on fire based on what someone else told her, which is his problem with the story. Which was before the 'charging' and any investigating.

I don't fall into any of the three, but then again I don't think any post quoted the law. If there was such a heinous act happening in front of me; yes, i would do anything in my power to protect the child and would go well beyond reasonable force regardless of the child's birth parents. But is anyone talking about stopping a heinous criminal act that is occurring?

My issue is that vigilante violence doesn't serve justice or right any wrong that was done to the victim, it serves to make the vigilante/mob feel better. There was a time where people were set on fire as punishment for their crimes and I'd like to think that people have moved beyond that time.

Does it make a difference if she lights him on fire before he's convicted or after. None of us know the real factual details and timeline of events, but I can't fault a parent for being irrational in regards to the safety of their child

That's part of the problem arguing about this. We don't know exactly what transpired when.

    All I know is...

    x2.

If my child tells me something like that. I'll ask them to explain and be specific. Once they tell me personally enough information to know what happened, then I'd handle it. A guy like that would be lucky to live if it were me.
