How late are the beer stores open? Will you have someone sober who can run and get a case or 2 if needed? You can re-evaluate an hour before closing.

OP, are you supplying the beer yourself or is the venue? If it's the venue, keep an eye on them. When my friend got married, he was supposed to get two kegs included with the reception. After about 90 minutes the venue claimed both kegs were tapped. Little did they know he is bartender and so were some of his quests. They called foul and quickly tallied up who drank and how much. Come to find out the venue had used leftover kegs from other events. In other words, neither was a new full keg. They threw in another in good faith. So make sure you're getting what you paid for.

Well we had our wedding and it was an absolute blast! I got 3 kegs and still have 1 full and two halves left....oops. Trying to figure out what to do with the full keg as I don't want to return it completely full and waste all that beer.

Is it ethical to sell the full keg on craigslist and lose the $40 deposit? Really don't want to waste it and would love to get some cash back.

You do know college football season starts in 3 days right? If I lived near you, I'd be glad to take it off your hands

Oh, and congratulations! I'm taking the plunge next November
