Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Mine sure is, when I bought my Monte Carlo she was against it, when I bought my Powerstroke, she was against it, and now when I sold my 2011 access cab to get my 2004 double cab, she was very against it.

I've now just accepted that she will always be against anything I ever do vehicle wise. She for some reason thinks I will "regret" going from the 2011 to the 2004, says I will have nothing but trouble with the 2004 because it's 10 years old. She doesn't understand cars, especially Toyotas at all. Oh and mind you, this 2004 only has 75k miles and my 2011 has 55k miles, what is the big deal? They're hardly any different mileage wise.

Plus you'd have more problems with the 11' over the 04'. Fact.

My wife doesn't give a fat baby's ass what I do with the money as long aed the bills are paid and she can go out once in awhile with the girls.

I even try to ask her opinion on things and she usually just tells me "whatever you think is best". She did, however ask me to put Nerf bars on my truck so she could get in and out more easily.

My wife isn't for any mods. Thinks it's more important to go on vacations.

With all the recalls as of late, that's 100% true.

My wife is very cool. Bought me Stealth 6's for Christmas last year. Also was the one pushing me to pull the trigger on an OME lift. :D

Hey, I was married at 19 ;). Going on 11 years now with a 9 year old daughter. Wife is almost 6 years older than me. :p

She does not mind much vehicle wise... Unless its about motorcycles. Does not like those or my spending on them too much. She will give me a little grief but not too much. I will be riding until I am physically unable to do so, I tell her. (She said she could make that happen sooner than later)

    :D

Most mods, yes, but not all. She is a car person but also extremely practical and we have a lot of directions right now that money needs to be saved for.

We are engaged, not married yet. But I love her to death and want to be with her forever. Just wish she'd quit griping so much about my vehicles and let me make those decisions. After all, I have to drive them and maintain them, not her. The kicker is, that she's owned Toyotas in the past, so idk why she is freaking out about a used Taco. She knows Toyotas are good reliable machines, and I'm pretty sure she is a believer in the first gen 4Runners which were dead reliable. No idea what her deal is.

I agree with all you, I think the first gen tacos are more reliable than the second gens by a long shot. Toyota quality seems to fall off the grid more and more every year. Nothing will ever beat the reliability of the old Yota trucks like the ones with the 22re in em, those ran forever.

I thought I loved my Bf and thought I wanted to be with him forever when I was 21. That's a whole lot of NOPE now :D

It really bugs me when I see threads like this or see comments like "I can't do this because my wife won't approve" or "I can't buy this because my wife won't let me". I hate when women pull that stuff. It's your money, do what you want. Just because you're with someone doesn't mean you have to stop living. The only reason I'd ever step in is if my SO wants to buy a new bumper over not paying rent or something.

But anyway, first gens are awesome, do whatever you think is the right choice.

My wife isn't a big fan of money spent on mods but she is used to it since I've been into off road stuff my whole life. However, she wishes I would save some of the mod money for retirement or paying down our mortgage......F*ck that, I spend enough on that crap as it is.
